Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of Quonkify, a Windows desktop email-search utility published by ZFire Media.
1. License
Subject to these Terms and any applicable purchase terms, ZFire Media grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Quonkify for your own use. The planned commercial license is for one user; final device and transfer provisions will be published before sales begin.
2. Your email accounts
You may connect only email accounts you are authorized to access. Quonkify relies on authorization provided by Google or Microsoft and requests read-only mailbox permissions for its current Gmail and Outlook integrations. You are responsible for complying with any policies or obligations that apply to accounts you connect.
3. What Quonkify does
Quonkify creates and maintains a local search index from supported email accounts so you can search email information on your Windows computer and open original messages in the applicable provider. Quonkify is a search utility, not a backup service or system of record.
4. Search completeness
We do not guarantee that every message will always be indexed, synchronized, displayed, or retrievable. Provider outages, API limits, authentication changes, local device conditions, software defects, deleted or moved messages, and other factors may affect results. Important email should remain available through your original email provider or other backup practices appropriate to you.
5. Third-party services
Google, Gmail, Microsoft, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Stripe, Netlify, Brevo, and other third-party services are operated by their respective providers and are governed by their own terms and availability. ZFire Media does not control those services and cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to them.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Quonkify to violate applicable law, gain unauthorized access to another person's accounts or data, interfere with the software or its services, or defeat security controls. You may not reverse engineer or circumvent technical restrictions except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
7. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the Quonkify Privacy Policy. Because Quonkify creates a local email index containing readable message information, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your Windows account and computer.
8. Payments and refunds
LEGAL REVIEW BEFORE COMMERCIAL LAUNCH: Finalize the purchase flow, refund policy, taxes, billing terms, and any consumer-law disclosures before activating the planned $49 one-time purchase.
9. Updates and version policy
LEGAL / PRODUCT REVIEW BEFORE COMMERCIAL LAUNCH: Define which updates are included with a purchase, how major-version upgrades are handled, and how update delivery works before accepting payment.
10. Pre-release software
Beta or pre-release versions may contain errors, may change without notice, and may require manual replacement or reinstallation. Do not rely on pre-release software as the only means of locating or retaining important information.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quonkify is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free indexing, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with every configuration. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZFire Media will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of Quonkify. Any final monetary liability cap and jurisdiction-specific consumer provisions will be reviewed before commercial launch. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Changes and termination
We may change or discontinue pre-release features and may update these Terms. You may stop using Quonkify at any time and remove connected accounts. Rights associated with a future paid license will be described in the commercial terms in effect at purchase.
14. Governing law
LEGAL REVIEW BEFORE COMMERCIAL LAUNCH: Governing law, venue, dispute-resolution language, and any required consumer exceptions have intentionally not been invented for this pre-release version.
